By Road Merseyside is very well served via a dense motorway network, with main access to the town via the M58, M57 and M62. for those who are traveling by car, the Southport Park and Ride facilities are excellent. Liverpool John Lennon Airport –approx 1 hourdrive time, £35 in a taxi, £5 rail fair on Merseytravel. Manchester International Airport–approx 1 hourdrive time, £45 in a taxi, £16 rail fair on Northern.
